Thinking about what will be valuable to families. Things like tailgating prior to football games, book exchange during read across America week. Great student behavior, student pulls the stick, all the marbles fall, and the whole school earns the reward! Mrs. Barley wants to approve the purchase with building funds, as to stick to the grant approval timeline set forth earlier this year.<br /><strong>Committee Reports</strong><br />Game Night &ndash; Put a call out for volunteers, game night committee met 2.9.26, Kecia connecting with Romeo&rsquo;s for the pizza as well as working on flyer. Alexis is doing raffle items and prizes. Golden good behavior ticket will be given out to kiddos and those can be entered for a free raffle ticket. Hopefully open doors at 6:15 and gaming starts at 6:30.<br />5th Grade Committee- Memory book &ndash; Meredith Nelson is doing it, kids have t-shirts, pool party is May 16th 8:15-10:15, Luncheon &ndash; should we let the kids vote on what to have, or just plan it out, consensus is to choose one restaurant and offer the kids 2 choices within, Stacy is doing posters, Apryl is doing posters, 5th grade ceremony is on the last day of school graduation is at 10am. Mr. Bertrams is taking over and Tessa Erwin is helping fill in as well.<br />Donuts with Grownups &ndash; Jan. 23rd, 8-9am in the gym. Staff is providing donuts, water, and juice. Ariel secured a coffee truck, will be on back parking area and coffee will be available for purchase.<br />APEX &ndash; Shared with leadership and staff, 1st email has been sent to community, 2nd email will go out next week, pep rally is 2 weeks from today, Glow Run on 5th and 6th.<br />Richens Timms &ndash; Irish Step Dance, Friday March 13th they will do a 30 minute performance for the school. They are asking for a $125 donation for the event.<br />Safety Drill this Thursday, did actually have a lock down in Dec. for a staff medical emergency.<br />District Testing this week<br />Title 1 Compact &ndash; need to share out how the title 1 funds are spent, the compact was shared to caregivers in Dec. Funds spent on Muffins and Math days, used about 80%. Glow Run is Feb 5th and 6th, everything is within the school day. Parents will receive emails to sponsor the kid similar to a walk a thon, sponsor per lap capping out at 42 laps. Requesting<br /><strong>President&rsquo;s Report &ndash;</strong><br />Donation drive is going great! 57.8 lbs 1st week, 2nd run 173.5 totaling 231.3! Last delivery will be this Friday 12.12.25.<br />Ashley and Katie A. attended Nov. PTO meeting. Middle school programs pathways recently approved.<br />APEX &ndash; Character development and leadership skills, they will have a pep rally and work with kids in each classroom and will be a fundraiser that cumulates as a Glow party with DJ on Feb. 5th and Feb. 6th. You can give a flat donation or a per lap donation, kids will run laps and you can donate per lap. Donations are all electronic, communication will be coming from APEX. APEX has asked for parent volunteers to help clock the laps. Max is 42 laps.<br />&nbsp;<br />Next round of grant requests will be discussed in January. No requests have come through so far.<br />A parent inquired about the possibility of providing childcare during Parent-Teacher Conferences, noting that it could help more parents attend in-person meetings. Rep will come and train school, life span is 10-12 years. If approved, we could have the product onsite and trained in less than 2 weeks.
