§ Shoe Drive update, box put out for donations
§ Blue Jackets received check for preseason game
o Monster Mash –
§ Mirsada Tinjak, Nikki Niday, Aubrey Agnew, and I have been hard at work with Monster Mash planning
§ Flyers should have gone home today with information on purchasing wristbands ahead of time for express entry
§ Our Sign Up Genius for volunteers and the bake sale is getting final edits and will be published tomorrow in the PTO Facebook Group along with being sent to Mrs. Barley to be distributed
§ We hit a snag with the DJ but working through it and hope he will be good to go
§ All our inflatables are still in working order but I still need to test out the fog machine
§ We want to decorate the front patio area with a spooky trail (fog machine, music, lights, decorations, etc.) so if anyone has lights and decorations we can borrow for a few hours Friday night, please let me know
§ If anyone has any other questions please feel free to reach out!
o Mums/Spring Flower Sales - Mums:
§ We sold 1,124 items for a profit of $5,416.50. Only one item was reported damaged and it has been replaced.
o Restaurant Nights –
§ In addition to the Menchie’s Restaurant night update, we wanted to remind everyone we have a restaurant night upcoming on Oct 20th at City BBQ from 11 am - 9 pm. It’s the same night as teacher appreciation night and we plan to order items for the teachers. We have to spend $500 that day in order for the restaurant to donate 20% so we need everyone to participate who is able!

§ Having two volunteers work the store

· Social
o Cub Scout Liaison – Mike Gilliam
§ Cub Scouts: popcorn fundraiser is winding down with over $20k in sales so far (our pack gets about 30% of that and we pay the scouts dues with it). We have our annual rain gutter regatta on Thursday and our fall family camp out on Saturday.
o Spirit Week – Jill Opperman
§ On-going this week
o Friendship/Membership -
§ We should be printing and distributing the guides next week
o Room Parent Coordinators -
§ Each class now has a Room Parent volunteer, many classes have two or even three co-room parents. The first class party is the Harvest Party on 10/28 and the room parents have all started planning. Some grades are working together to plan the activities and some are doing their own separate things. I’m keeping in touch and helping as needed but everyone seems to be on the right track.
§ Next on my list is sending a Teacher’s Favorite Things questionnaire to each teacher. This is helpful for the Room Parent to pass out to the class when it comes time for holiday gifts, etc.
o Teacher Appreciation
§ No Update
o Tailgate at Scioto -
§ communication has gone out, but very low response rate to the sign-up so far, so it might be low turnout.
o Family Game Night
§ Calendared for 2/10, 6:30pm at Davis. I need to see what supplies we have from last year (bingo cards, number board, pencils, prizes, etc).
§ Outstanding questions:
§ 1. Will this be a free event again? (Yes)
§ 2. Can we do food this year? (Yes)
