Welcome, Introductions, Meeting Details
President, Ben Opperman welcomed everyone to the February 7th, 2023 PTO Meeting.
Ben Opperman called the February 2023 OSE PTO meeting to order at 7:04 PM.
Attendance

Meeting Minutes Approval:

• Approval of December 2022 minutes
• No edits or revisions suggested
• Motion made by Ashley Oliver for approval of minutes

• Motion approved no objections or abstentions

Principal’s Report:

• Principal’s Update:

o   Artist in the school – New Basics Brass Band 
§  April 6 @ 2:45-3:15
o   Bloomz- refund promised; will process PTO portion upon receipt
o   H.S. Musical- waiting to hear back
§  Coffman: One-Acts- late April/ early May
o   Kindergarten Musical May 2, 2023; 6:30 or 7:00

• School Store - Deposit from sales since last meeting have been $595.71 and then we had to restock so purchased $195.81 in items.

• Restaurant Night - check from Romeo's deposited for $150.00

Cub Scouts - no receipts have been submitted yet.

New Business:

• New Grant – Tumblers
  • Christina Goodwin made a motion to purchase one case 48 choose happy tumblers ~$650.  Tumblers to be sold within spirit wear and used for other appreciation purposes
  • Motion 2nd by Ashley Oliver for approval of minutes
  • Motion approved no objections or abstentions

 
Updates:

• Flower Sale: Working with company on setting up spring sale.  Last spring made profit of $3,600, this fall jumped to $5,000. 
  • Sales start March 3rd (all docs go home)
  • Paper orders due March 10th
  • March 17th online store close
  • April 25th flower delivered to the school
  • Bringing back the parent plant
• Spirit Wear: Entry forms for the spirt wear design (design awarded).  Adding sweatpants to the order.  This will be the winter sale
• Restaurant Week:
  • Considering McAlister’s Dinner Feb 15th (conference night)
  • March 1st is Chipotle Powell
• Rewards: No Updates
• School Store: No Updates
• School Supply: No Updates
• Bricks: No Updates, will send out new order form for spring break time.  Could not do over summer with the equipment
• Room Parents: No Updates
• Cub Scouts:
  • pinewood derby for Feb 10th. 
• Teacher Appreciation: No Update
• Family Game Night:
  • Received 33 orders for food, ~$40 pizzas
  • Event will be 2/10 @ Davis Middle School 
  • Having a raffle of iPad  
• Clover Run (replacing celebration of clovers): (No Updates) Looking to create an event, looking for summer tech shirts, looking at May for the event
• 5th Grade Committee: In process of planning
  • Roughly $2,200 for party
  • Considering bowling in plain city
• Holiday Shop: No updates
