Here is the school supply list for the 2019-2020 school year.
April 23, 2019
Dear Parents of Incoming Kindergarteners,
Hello and welcome to Olde Sawmill Elementary! OSE is a wonderful place for students and families, thanks in large part to our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The OSE PTO provides funds, programs and resources to enrich and maximize the education of our students. We also work to build a sense of community within our school. Some of the events and programs the PTO provides for, include t-shirts for all incoming Kindergarteners, the back to school ice cream social, classroom parties, COSI on Wheels, Author Visits, Artist Visits, the OSE Publishing Shop, classroom news magazines and field day, among others.
One program we do as a service to families and as a fundraiser for the school is a prepackaged school supply sale. We’ve found that many families are busy, even during the summer, and appreciate not having to run around town buying school supplies, so we do all of the running around for you and have your student’s supplies delivered to your child’s classroom on the day of Meet the Teacher. Enclosed you will find the details and an order form; all orders need to be returned to the OSE Main Office by Friday, May 24th, 2019.
As you can see, we are a busy group! We have PTO meetings monthly to discuss and plan for these exciting activities. On behalf of the OSE PTO, we’d like to invite you to our meeting on Monday, May 13th, at 7 pm in the OSE Commons Area. Come, get to know other parents and see what you and your student have to look forward to next year.
There are also many ways parents are involved in our school activities and it’s the best way to get to know other parents at OSE. On the back of this letter, you will find details on volunteer opportunities. Please take a moment to look over the activities and see where you may be able to help. Once you have figured out where you would like to help just contact one of our executive board members listed below and we will get you in contact with the committee chair.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of us at OSEPTOCLOVERS@GMAIL.COM We look forward to seeing you on May 13th.

Cement your place in Olde Sawmill Elementary history by purchasing a commemorative brick! Attached is the flyer to order. Surprise your graduating 5th grader or your favorite staff member or student with a brick message especially for them! Want to remember an event? What better way to do it than supporting your school and commemorating it on a brick? Deadline to order is Friday, March 22, and the next opportunity to order will not be until Spring of 2020. Send checks (preferred) payable to OSE-PTO to the office in a sealed envelope with the words “Brick order” on the front. Thanks!
A message from Eric Fritchie:
5th grade parents,
I will be putting together a 5th grade video for the end of the school year event. It is a montage of their years at Olde Sawmill Elementary, and we’re looking for your help with pictures of your kiddos. I’m looking for any school pictures and videos from their time at OSE (Kindergarten through 5th grade.) We only need school pictures, so no sports or vacation photos.
You can email any pictures to ERICFRITCHIE@MAC.COM. JPEG for still pictures and .MOV for videos usually works the best for me, but send what you have and I’ll do my best to work with it. Please remember to tell me the name of your child.
If you have a lot of pictures you can easily send them to me all at once using WETRANSFER.COM. It’s a file transfer service that allows you to upload and send up to 2 GB of pictures and videos for free.
- Go to WeTransfer.com
- Click on “Take Me To Free” button
- Upload your pictures and videos
- Send to my email address ERICFRITCHIE@MAC.COM
- In the message section please tell me the name of your child.
- Hit the “Transfer” button.
This site doesn’t ask you to sign up. It’s very easy and user friendly.
I’m hoping to start working on the video in April, so you have a month to collect your kids best pictures and videos from the last 6 years (or as long as you’ve been at OSE.) Field trips, holiday parties, Celebration of Clovers, family nights, I’ll take it all. Please email me if you have any questions, and send them as soon as you can.
